A full-time guide and charter captain in Southern Wisconsin, John Reddy owns and operates Reddy Guide Service. Reddy is fortunate to be immersed in such a diverse fishing area allowing him to keep client on quality fisheries throughout the year.
Reddy spends much of his time guiding the harbors and tributaries of Lake Michigan and Green Bay where he chases Great Lakes brown trout, rainbows, steelhead, salmon, walleye, northern pike, musky and smallmouth bass.
Reddy also guides many inland waters including river systems and lakes in Southern Wisconsin where he chases primarily panfish, pike, lake trout, bass and steelhead. While he can be found on an array of lakes, most of his time is spent in Walworth County Wisconsin at Delavan and Geneva Lake during the summer season.
Reddy is no stranger to publicity. He’s been featured on several TV shows: Outdoor Wisconsin, Angling the Great Lakes, Take Down Outdoors and Outdoors with Tom Gruenwald. The print media has also responded with ink in Wisconsin Outdoor News, In-Fisherman, Wisconsin Sportsman and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
His voice is often heard on the airwaves with Outdoors Radio with Dan Small and Outdoors with Allen McQuinn. He’s written several blogs, often published in Southern Wisconsin Fishing News and Wisconsin Outdoor Fun. He also publishes his own bi-monthly newsletter: Rod & Reel Times Lakes Area Journal.
Reddy regularly volunteers his time working with youth anglers and helping to educate others by putting on seminars and workshops. He’s spoken to and worked on youth programs with many fishing clubs in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, along with working with retailers such as Gander Mountain and Bass Pro Shops in promotional events and seminars.
