While it’s some of the most overlooked fishing in Washington, guide Brad Wagner Of Bobber Down Guide Service has captured the allure of this beautiful country and has made a living guiding for salmon and steelhead within an hour drive of Wenatchee. During the fall and winter, Wagner focuses on the Wenatchee and Methow Rivers for steelhead, prior to switching to the Icicle River in mid May to target spring chinook. He’ll remain on the Icicle through July and then bolts to the Columbia River for summer and fall kings and sockeye.
Wagner’s energy makes him a popular speaker at the Spokane Boat Show, at High Mountain Sports and other local tackle shops and clubs. He’s been featured on Joel Shangle’s Northwest Wild Country Radio and in articles with Salmon Trout Steelheader and Northwest Sportsman. He’s also written up in the Wenatchee World and Everett Herald. Wagner is a popular blogger and frequently contributes to www.fisheyesoup.com and www.fishwenatchee.com. In the near future, he’ll be featured on Hawg Quest and Gary Lewis Outdoors.
